What Makes This Workshop Different

This support framework was developed and used by our founder, Nathali Cano, to break into cybersecurity  back when she made the transition from Technical Recruiting.

Since entering the industry, she has continued to share and refine this framework, helping others position themselves more effectively and demonstrate their value beyond certifications alone.

This framework comes from her combined experience as:

  • A former Technical Recruiter at Amazon, with direct insight into how candidates are evaluated

  • A Security Engineer working in adversary emulation and defensive practices.

  • A community development leader building programs for the past decade in the areas of education, social services and technology.

Candidates who can clearly show their work, explain their thinking, and take initiative stand out.

This workshop teaches you how to do exactly that.

Gain Exposure to Advanced Concepts

You will be introduced to key concepts that are often considered more advanced within the field:

  • Red Team and Blue Team perspectives

  • Purple Teaming as a collaborative approach

  • The MITRE ATT&CK framework

  • Attack emulation concepts

Early exposure to these areas helps you develop a deeper understanding of cybersecurity and can set you apart from other entry level candidates.

 Create Your Own Work Experience

A core part of this workshop is learning how to build experience beyond formal technical  jobs. Participants are encouraged to look into their own communities as a place to grow.

This includes:

  • Supporting businesses and NFPs we are partnered with

  • Helping organizations think through basic security practices

  • Observing real environments and applying what you are learning

This is also a place where you can:

  • Practice your skills

  • Build confidence

  • Develop real examples of work

  • Create meaningful portfolio content that is designed by a former Amazon recruiter

This approach helps shift from waiting for opportunity to creating it and this alone, sets you apart and we can help you with it!
